Congratulations to the Recipients of the 2021 Lew’s and Strike King Freshman Scholarship Program

Lew’s and Strike King are pleased to announce the 2021 recipients of the Freshman Scholarship Program.  The Lew’s and Strike King Freshman Scholarship Program, founded in 2019, underscores a deep commitment the companies share in helping young anglers achieve their dreams on the water and in the classroom. 

Lew’s and Strike King are pleased to announce the 2021 recipients of the Freshman Scholarship Program. The Lew’s and Strike King Freshman Scholarship Program, founded in 2019, underscores a deep commitment the companies share in helping young anglers achieve their dreams on the water and in the classroom. Each year, Lew’s and Strike King award up to $5000 to five deserving anglers who have persevered in their high school academic pursuits and proven to possess a devotion to their sport and their community.

The 2021 Scholarship Recipients are:

Jack Northcott
Jack graduated from Woodlands High School in Woodlands, TX.  The high school Valedictorian will study Chemical Engineering in the fall at Texas A&M University. When he is not in the classroom, Jack plans to join the Aggie Anglers, one of the oldest and most accomplished collegiate fishing clubs in the country.

Will Carnes
Lincoln County High graduate Will Carnes, from Stanford, KY, plans to study Business at Campbellsville University. The future Tiger possesses a deep passion for fishing and will test the waters with the popular Campbellsville Bass Fishing Team.

Kenneth Lallier Clark IV
After graduating in the top three of his class at Harleton High School in Diana, TX, Kenneth will study Engineering at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kenneth also plans to join the UMHB football team in the fall.

Harrison Wingard
Recent Alabama Christian Academy graduate Harrison Wingard will be heading to Auburn University in the fall to study Architecture. Along with his academic pursuits, the Wetumpka, AL native plans to join the legendary Auburn Bass Fishing Team.

Tyler Finley
Mount Pleasant High School graduate Tyler Finley, from Mount Pleasant, TN, plans to study in the fall at the University of North Alabama.  Tyler will join the Lions on the North Alabama Fishing Team as he pursues his engineering degree.  A passion for Tyler will be utilizing his gifts in engineering to develop equipment to help people with disabilities discover the joys of angling.

A devotion to education is in the very DNA of the team at Lew’s and Strike King.  “It is critically important that we continue to build and nurture the next generation of avid anglers,” offered CEO Ken Eubanks.  “We stand behind these young scholar-anglers and look forward to their success.”
